SAFE-SCHOOLS Unveils New Summary and Information Guide For Guidance Counselors

SAFE-SCHOOLS is proud to announce the addition of a new resource for school guidance counselors entitled the SAFE-SCHOOLS SUMMARY AND INFORMATION GUIDE.

Our new guide is a quick reference to all of the programs that SAFE-SCHOOLS offers with a brief description of each program and how schools can benefit from each of them. You'll find complete contact information on the backside of the guide.

The SUMMARY AND INFORMATION GUIDE is available as an PDF file which allows fast access and the ability to print as many as needed.

For Health Educators on the Tenure Track

Community-Campus Partnerships for Health has produced an online Community-Engaged Scholarship Toolkit to advance community-focused research and help health educators succeed professionally. It guides faculty, graduate students, and researchers in documenting their scholarly work and creating strong portfolios for promotion and tenure. Support for the project came from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Helen Fuld Health Trust, Corporation for National & Community Service, and the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education in the U.S. Department of Education.

Creating Prepared Principals

A new study from the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute, Developing Successful Principals: Review of Research (32 pages, PDF), scrutinizes available research and literature on the design of programs for principal preparation and development, and offers recommendations for creating scalable models to bring effective leadership to America's schools.
